The project forms part of the Accelerated School Infrastructure Delivery Initiative (ASIDI).

The aim of the ASIDI is to eradicate inappropriate educational structures and the backlogs encountered in basic services. This entails the construction of quality educational facilities which are safe for occupation and will have water, sanitation and electricity.

The scope of works involved the provision of an administration block, nutrition centre, multi-purpose classrooms, standard classrooms and a Grade-R classroom, science laboratory, media centre and library, toilet facilities, sports field and change rooms with a tuckshop, parking area, gatehouse, interlinking walkways and related soft and hard landscaping.
