Project Description:

This was a SACAP sanctioned competition, administered by the EC DPW. The site was in the development node of Bhisho, directly adjacent to the House of Traditional Leaders. The brief called for an modern Afro-centric design that related spacially and aesthetically to the Bhisho Provincial Government precinct to accommodate the Office of the Premier, Dept of Institution Building and Transformation and the Dept of Provincial Planning and Development, totalling 18 200m2. An iconic structure was sought to support the ideology of good governance and service which the diverse populous of the Eastern Cape can all identify with, and that will celebrate our heritage to arrive at our new found freedom.

The project was never implemented.
