This project proposes the redevelopment of the site through the replacement of the existing buildings with a contemporary 25-unit apartment development. The concept comprises three interconnected apartment blocks ranging between three and four storeys, linked by external walkways and shared circulation spaces.

Designed to accommodate young professionals and students, the development responds to the demand for affordable, well-located and contemporary housing within the area. The proposal seeks to optimise the site while responding sensitively to its surrounding urban context and the broader planning framework of the Drakenstein Municipality.

The proposed building adopts a contemporary architectural language characterised by clean lines and articulated façades. A deliberate play of light and shadow is achieved through recessed balconies and varied façade planes, providing natural shading while adding depth and visual interest to the elevations.
